Peak of summer is arriving in chennai in few days from now in month of MAY.In tamil it is called agni natchathiram.School are closed for Summer season.Tips to beat the heat is to keep your body hydrated if you take in lots of fluids. Water is the greatest agent for maintaining good health always. Double the intake of water than you have in winter and drink a minimum of 8-10 glasses of water. For summer health tips, if you feel that your body is losing out on a lot of salts in summer than simply add a pinch of salt in every glass of water that you drink.

Stay Indoors

The easiest method to beat the heat and the health issues during summer is by staying indoors. If you need to go out, ensure that you wear all kinds of protective gear to prevent the Ultra violet rays. Schedule all your outdoor activities during the early part of the day or evening.

Protection

To prevent the high levels of heat, summer time health tips highly recommend wearing loose and light clothes. Don’t burden yourself with heavy clothing and dark colors as it can make you feel more hot and irritated. Also, when going outside, the most advisable summer health tips are to wear full sleeved shirts and complete pants, apply a generous quantity of sun-block to avoid sun burning you in summer months and carry a pair of sunglasses, a hat or an umbrella always with you.

Diet

Including a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables is a straight forward way to remain healthy in summer. There are plenty of fruits and vegetables that contain lots of water. Replace your snacks with your fruits and veggies. The water from these gets easily absorbed through the bloodstream and provides a cooling effect. Consuming onions can also be one way to remain cool.Watermelon is one of the most water-rich fruits you can eat. It contains essential rehydration salts – calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium – that help keep the body hydrated and largely reduce the chance of dehydration.Cantaloupe, also known as muskmelon or mush melon, is another high water content fruit with 90 percent water.

Trimming The Hair

It is also crucial to trim your hair often so that frizzy troubles and split ends could be averted. It is also sensible to choose a brief hair design through the summers since a short hairstyle would supply wonderful comfort throughout the summers.

Health Care Tips

Use Sunscreen

It’s not enough to just apply sunscreen.: you have to apply enough, and apply frequently. Many people do not apply nearly as much daylight protection because they should. A teaspoon for that face. For the body, about around would fill a shot glass. Re-apply every 2 hours.

Bed Time Cleansing

Cleansing of your skin at night, before bedtime is much more important. The dirt and pollutants, that have been deposited on the skin during the day, should be removed. This not only helps to reduce surface oil, but also protects your skin from pimples, spots along with other eruptions.

Known to give one a lean and toned body, Pilates has been embraced by several celebs today. But what exactly is this physical fitness system that has so many people raving about it? Anjali Sareen, Fitness and Pilates Educator & Co-owner of The Zone, Mind & Body Studio, Bangalore sheds light on the same.

What is Pilates?

Pilates makes all movement better.

That is what I lead with when asked, ‘What is Pilates?’

It is a system of movement and exercise that is more than 100 years old; created by a German, Joseph Pilates. The method as we know it today is named after him. Interestingly though, during his lifetime, he referred to his system as Contrology.

That, to me, is the simplest and most appropriate way to describe Pilates. These exercises are all about control, precision, and fluidity; to be achieved through a mind-body focus and breath awareness.
